WHY: Step up and become a citizen scientist by doing your part in helping study the migration and breeding patterns of Monarch butterflies in the Southwest.  Learn about local school education on tagging in New Mexico. You can adopt a monarch butterfly for $8 (while supplies last), we’ll show you how to tag it, and then you can release your butterfly.  Release times will be 9:30am, 10:30am or 11:30am.  Annual & perennial milkweed will also be for sale.  For more info, see our flyer, or press release.
