WHERE: Plant World – 250 El Pueblo Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87113

WHY: Wings of Enchantment and Plant World will participate in the national Butterfly Education and Awareness Day (BEAD)  to help promote the importance of planting for butterflies and other pollinators. Visitors can make clay seed balls to take home, walk through a butterfly display and feed butterflies ($2 fee), learn what to plant to attract Monarchs and a variety of New Mexico butterflies, and purchase native and non-native milkweed.

WHERE: Jericho Nursery – 101 Alameda Blvd. NW, Albuquerque NM

WHY: Step up and become a citizen scientist by doing your part in helping study the migration and breeding patterns of Monarch butterflies in the Southwest. You can adopt a monarch butterfly, we’ll show you how to tag it, and then you can release your butterfly.  Stay tuned for more information.
